Today is the day we became multi-chain species. After Ethereum mainnet, our destiny sends us to a side-chain called Polygon/Matic which in the last few months had tremendous growth.
This is a great news for us because we can finally have a place for great innovation and experiments that its not limited by the super-expensive gas.
In order to bridge assets to Matic here is what you need to do:
- Go to https://wallet.matic.network/bridge/ and after connecting the wallet and signing the message, select “Shine” from the token list (note it may take some time to load the token)
- Transfer tokens using two-step approach
- Go to the https://chainlist.org/ and find Matic (Polygon chain) / chain-id:137. Add the network to Metamask.
- After 7–8 minutes Shine tokens should appear in your wallet. Make sure to add the Shine tokens in the metamask at address 0x53D76f967De13E7F95e90196438DCe695eCFA957 . Note: if you did it on Ethereum mainnet, it doesn’t matter, if you want to see your SHN tokens on Matic you need to add the tokens there and its actually different address than on the mainnet
Important Note:
Even though if you bridged your SHN to Matic network. Please note that you need to have some MATIC tokens as well as they are required for paying gas. In case you don’t have any, you can use the gas-less swap app to get some small amount of MATIC which can cover your transaction cost.
